The Forresters Arms Hotel is situated in the picturesque village of Kilburn near York, in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, also known as Herriot Country.
It nestles below the famous White |Horse a unique landmark of North Yorkshire. It is ideally located for walkers participating in the Cleveland Way .They can look forward to roaring log fires and an excellent selection of real ales, and an extensive menu incorporating local produce.

The Hotel was recently acquired by Fiona Gould, previously of The Watermill Inn Pateley Bridge. Fiona has personally supervised the renovations of the Hotel throughout 2007, being careful only to enhance the quintessential Old Country Inn charm that the Forresters has become famous for. All ten bedrooms now boast full en-suite facilities with bath and shower’s.

Next door to the Hotel is the famous Robert Thompson workshops, both bars are furnished with some fine examples of his early work, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming and will appeal to all ages. The bars are still staunchly supported by the locals, who welcome visitors, and are more than happy to wile away the nights recounting many a local tale!

The Inn originally provided stables and rest for the horses and coachmen who would have stopped en-route at the village green. The evidence of the stables is still clearly visible in the top bar. One thing is guaranteed, all visitors will receive a warm Yorkshire-Irish welcome from Fiona and her dedicated team. Once people discover the delights of Kilburn, they become regular visitors, and subsequently firm friends.
